Madayaw Davao

Kadayawan is truly the most awaited event in Davao.

Among the activities are as follows:

Hiyas sa Kadayawan

Hiyas sa Kadayawan is the search for the indigenous young lass who will represent her tribal minority with indigenous knowledge through a display of myths and legends. This year, ten young women from their respective distinguished tribes will vie for the title.

Indak-Indak sa Kadalanan

The Indak-Indak sa Kadalanan will showcase the different festivals of Mindanao through street dancing. Dance contingents will present their artistic interpretations of traditional tribal dances right on the streets of downtown.

Moda Mindanaw

Fashion designers all over Mindanao will gather to compete in a fashion design extravaganza of indigenous-inspired wearable items using local fabric and organic fibers. This event will also feature floral accessories and bouquets created by Davao-based floral artists.

Tunog Mindanaw

Composers and songwriters will gather together to showcase their famous yet indigenous music compositions.

Hudyakaan

This is a week-long food street activity and best for food trippers. This event will also feature nightly entertainment with the participation of both local and nationally-renowned music bands.

Dayaw Dabaw Street Market

This 10-day event will feature the bounties of Davao. It will showcase Davao fruit growers and Davao’s best products and will be put up on Palma Gil Street. The night market will be open staring from 6 p.m. until 2 a.m. Entertainment and food items will also be available for visitors.

Pamulak Kadayawan

This is the grand finale of the Kadayawan Festival. The event will feature the blooming of flowers and abundance of fruits through a floral float parade and competition.
